2008 Scholarship Recipients

Kristine Luna
I am honored to have been given this scholarship. Mrs. Parker was and continues to be a very important person in my life. She motivated and encouraged her students to dream big and work hard towards our dream: going to college. The passion and drive that Mrs. Parker showed towards her students and the AVID program are qualities that I hope to have with what I set to accomplish. I will be attending CSU Northridge in the fall in hopes to pursue my career as a Social Worker. Thanks to Mrs. Parker I become the person that I am today and I hope that I will be able to impact a person’s life as much as she impacted mine.
